Certified Soulpower Dance Instructors

Miranda Michaels is an 8 year resident of Asheville, originally from Chicago. Her passions lay in cultivating genuine human connections, finding laughter in all of life's twists and turns, and creating unforgettable experiences; she translates her love for event curation into her full time job as the venue manager at Devil's Foot Beverage's The Mule. When she's not working, Miranda most enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, playing music, and of course dance. She's thrilled to continue her journey of growth and discovery as she steps into a new chapter of leading SoulPower on Monday nights.

Kristy Johnson: I dance because it sets me free… it connects me to my body, my heart and to the interconnected community that we are. The intentionality of the Soulpower movements, music, and incorporation of the feminine and masculine as well as all the elements- air, earth, metal, Fire and Water- brings me home over and over again. I can feel the surrender and my individual and the collective vibration rise up and up. It is for all these reasons that I became a certified Soulpower dance teacher and what I try to hold space for and co-create in this incredible, joyful, playful, heartful community. I dance to connect, to re-member, to feel, to play…. Come dance with me!
